Position: Customer services manager
Reports to: Head of Customer Services
 
  Responsibilities:
• Supervise all secretaries and receptionists;
• Participate in all meetings;
• Write company newsletter;
• Meet all visitors and guests;
• Pour coffee.


The right person

A: He has no qualifications. He left school at 16
B: And very little experience. He hasn’t had a job since he left school
A: How about motivation?
B He hasn’t asked a single question. I don’t think he has even read the job description! And as for personality…..
B: I know. He hasn’t smiled once.
A: On the other hand, he is the MD’s son….


Ask the expert, valuing staff

I find it easy to recruit staff, I just can’t keep them. Any ideas/

People always think that all you need is a high salary and good perks. But money and benefits are not enough these days. You need to give all your employees interesting, challenging work. Encourage them to develop new skills. Give them a chance to learn. But most of all, show them that you value them.
