Instructions for the Exam:


The exam in Academic Language of Press will be conducted in the form of oral exam.

Students will be given one unknown article from BBCLearningEnglish and they have to skim the text and try to memorize new words and answer comprehension questions and translate one of the paragraphs without looking back to the list of new words ( Please, try to memorize those new words, as constantly looking back at the new words will result in losing some points)

In addition you will be given tickets covering Units 5 and 6 from Inside Reading. There will be new words and vocabulary activities and collocations. In addition, there will be words from articles. Plus, you have to translate paragraphs from Georgian into English taken from Inside Reading texts (Unit 5-6) and those articles that we have covered in this term (Chicago Teacher's Strike; Protection for Nepalese Women; US campaign Resumes after Sandy; California Earthquake Drill; Learning Irish English, America's Changing Identity; Battle of the Phones; Where is the Best City to Live?)
